BOOK OF DEATH - Judgement of OSIRIS

This is The Judgement of death by Osiris , my first assignment with Miss Clare as my tutor.

After some research i did for this picture .. i formed some questions for better understanding/ I don't understand some of the arrangement.
1.Why the 15 gods are drawn on the top of the drawing, where they are not doing anything in this judgement
    they basically are useless.Unless to show the differences in status and power.

2.The first sitting god at the top looks like RA with a red stone/egg on its head, and the second looks like        
   Osiris.Is it really them?

3.I can understand good people deserve better ending after they die and judgement is needed. But
   is it that happy to follow and serve Osiris at the end of the journey? What will Osiris do to them?

I like Egypt mythology and history cause it basically related my childhood favorite anime YU-GI-OH

. The anime main character was the new life of pharaoh uses Egypt myth as source of reference and apply the relationship,connection, and source of power for their happening affair.  While researching back the history of Egypt, I found familiar and interesting, the story more or less are the same from my childhood memories.

(What i'd realize)
Perhaps we know too much fact of the world now a day, it restrict our imagination as a creator. Compare to the ancient times, not much fact has been told, so people form imagination.. one's share thoughts with another and then form reality and facts, that imagination then grown wider and wider until it forms a story/legend/mythology.
